Ogan Komering Ilir Regency is a regency of South Sumatra, Indonesia. It has an area of 17,058.32 km² and a population of 726,659 at the 2010 Census;[1] the latest official estimate (as at January 2014) is 780,695. The administrative capital is the town of Kayu Agung. The regency contains the Ogan-Komering lebaks, or floodplain lakes, an area of wetland covering about 200,000 hectares.[2] Major crops include coffee, sugar cane, oil palm, rubber, cacao, pineapple, tea and fish.[3]
