Ogan Ilir Regency is a regency of South Sumatra Province, Indonesia. It covers an area of 2,513.09 sq.km, and had a population of 380,861 at the 2010 Census;[1] the latest official estimate (as at January 2014) is 408,826. The administrative capital is the town of Indralaya. During the 2010 elections, the Indonesian Democratic Party – Struggle (PDI-P) nominated noted TV quiz host Helmi Yahya as the candidate for Ogan Ilir.[2]
