Ogallala Formation

The Ogallala Formation is a Miocene to Pliocene geologic unit in the western United States. The Ogallala Formation outcrops of Lake Meredith National Recreation Area preserve fish fossils.[1] Similar specimens from the same formation are found at Alibates Flint Quarry National Monument in Texas.[1]
