The Office of The Ombudsman, Hong Kong is an independent statutory authority, established in 1989 under the Ombudsman Ordinance, to redress grievances arising from maladministration in the public sector through independent and impartial investigations to improve the standard of public administration. The office, formerly known as The Office of The Commissioner for Administrative Complaints, was formally delinked from the Government after The Ombudsman (Amendment) Ordinance came into operation on 19 December 2001.^[1]

The incumbent, Connie Lau, is a former head of the Consumer Council.^[2]
