Oasis is a census-designated place located in eastern Elko County, Nevada (USA), at the junction of State Route 233 and Interstate 80, approximately 40 miles (64 km) west of the Nevada border with the state of Utah. Built along the Central Pacific Railroad (now Union Pacific Railroad), the tracks run along the north side of town. A high desert community located in the Goshute Valley between the Pequop Mountains and the Toano Range at an elevation of approximately 5,860 feet (1,786 m).

The community is part of the Elko Micropolitan Statistical Area.
