Oakville North—Burlington

Oakville North—Burlington is a future federal electoral district in Ontario. It will encompass a portion of Ontario now included in the electoral districts of Burlington, Halton, and Oakville.[1]

Creation of District

Oakville North—Burlington was created by the 2012 federal electoral boundaries redistribution and is to be legally defined in the 2013 representation order. It is likely to come into effect upon the call of the 42nd Canadian federal election, scheduled for October 2015, although in the unlikely event an election is called prior to April 2014, the current electoral boundaries would remain in effect.[2]

Confirmed Candidates

As of March 2015, the Conservatives have not yet selected a candidate to run under their banner in the new riding in the 2015 federal election.[3] Incumbent MP for Mississauga-Brampton South, Eve Adams was disqualified from seeking nomination in August 2014.
