Oak Flats railway station is located on the South Coast line in New South Wales, Australia. It serves the southern Wollongong suburb of Oak Flats, opening in 1925.[1] Just south of the station is Croom Tunnel, which at only 40 metres is the shortest in New South Wales.[2]

History

The original station opened in 1925, 400 metres north of the present station. In February 2003, the construction of a new Oak Flats station was completed.[3]

Platforms & services

Oak Flats has one side platform. It is serviced by NSW TrainLink South Coast line services travelling between Sydney Central, Bondi Junction and Kiama.[4]
