Nyaa Torrents is a BitTorrent website focused on East Asian (Chinese, Japanese, and/or Korean) media. It is one of the largest public anime-dedicated torrent indexes.[2] In 2011 some of the site users have been targeted for digital piracy.[3] In 2014 the site has been identified as a major digital piracy outlet by the Japanese government.[2] The site has been a target of large DDoS attack in early September 2014.[2][4]
