Norway is scheduled to compete at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 5 to 21 August 2016.
Athletics

Norwegian athletes have so far achieved qualifying standards in the following athletics events (up to a maximum of 3 athletes in each event):[1][2]
- Men's 20 km walk (Erik Tysse)[3]
Handball

Women's tournament
The Norway women's handball team qualified for the Olympics by winning the 2014 European Championships.[4]
- Women's team event – 1 team of 14 players
Sailing

Norway has qualified one boat for each of the following events upon receiving a place from the 2014 ISAF Sailing World Championships.[5]
- Men's sailboard – RS:X (Sebastian Wang-Hansen)
- Men's one-person dinghy – Laser (Kristian Ruth)
- Men's heavyweight one-person dinghy – Finn (Anders Pedersen)
- Women's one-person dinghy – Laser Radial (Marthe Enger Eide)
Shooting

Norwegian shooters have achieved the following quotas based on their performance at the 2014 ISSF World Shooting Championships.[6]
- Men's 50 m rifle 3 positions – 2 quota places (Are Hansen, Ole Kristian Bryhn)
- Women's 50 m rifle 3 positions – 1 quota place (Malin Westerheim)
