Northern Indiana Valley Conference

The Northern Indiana Valley Conference was a High School League from 1967 to 1973, located in the South Bend/Mishawaka metropolitan area. The conference was made up of South Bend and Mishawaka-area schools that were not a part of the Northern Indiana Athletic Conference, which at that point spread from Gary and East Chicago to Elkhart. When the schools from Northwestern Indiana left to form more compact conferences and NIC membership dwindling, former NIVC teams joined the NIC. By 2005, all of the NIVC teams that had not closed were in the NIC.
