North Davidson Senior High School (commonly referred to as "North Davidson," "NDHS," or simply "North") is a public high school in Welcome, North Carolina (near Lexington). It was established in 1952 and is located along Old US Highway 52 in northern Davidson County. The high school serves the Welcome, Arcadia and Midway areas.

Education

Feeder schools are Welcome Elementary (Welcome), Northwest Elementary (Arcadia), Friedberg Elementary (Arcadia), Midway Elementary (Midway), North Davidson Middle (Welcome) and Oak Grove Middle.

Athletics

The school's mascot is the Black Knight, although girl athletes often use the term "Lady Knights". Enrollment is approximately 1,600 students.[1]

NDHS is a member of the Central Piedmont 4-A Conference and NDHS's biggest county rivals is Ledford in Wallburg, North Carolina and Central Davidson High School in Lexington, North Carolina. North's biggest rival in their conference is a tie between West Forsyth and Davie County High School.

The school's athletics logo is an interlocking "ND" in orange, black, and white colors. It is copied from the University of Notre Dame athletics logo. Other NDHS logos feature black knights riding upon a horse in armor.
