Noah Georgeson is a musician, producer, and solo recording artist. Georgeson's debut album Find Shelter was released through Plain Recordings on November 28, 2006.[1] Born, 1975 in San Anselmo, California, he moved with his family to Nevada City, California at the age of four. Georgeson studied classical guitar and music composition, receiving his BA in composition from San Francisco State University in 2001, and his Master of Fine Arts from Mills College in 2003. Georgeson first found success as a part of San Francisco band The Pleased, along with fellow member Joanna Newsom, whose debut album The Milk-Eyed Mender he produced. He has played guitar in Devendra Banhart's live band since 2004,[2] produced Banhart's Cripple Crow, Smokey Rolls Down Thunder Canyon, and Mala and is credited as a songwriter on a number Banhart's songs.[3] Other notable albums that Georgeson has produced include Bert Jansch's The Black Swan, Mason Jennings's Boneclouds, and Little Joy's debut self-titled album. Since 2009, Georgeson has come to prominence as a mixer, mixing the majority of Joanna Newsom's 2010 album Have One On Me, and The Strokes album Angles. In February 2011, Robin Pecknold, singer of Fleet Foxes, recorded three songs with Georgeson, including a duet with Ed Droste of Grizzly Bear.
Noah is represented exclusively by Jim Phelan and Jerimaya Grabher at Global Positioning Services in Santa Monica, California.
In 2013 Georgeson won a Latin Grammy Award as a producer of Natalia Lafourcade's Mujer Divina - Homenaje A Agustín Lara, and received a nomination in the category 'Best engineered album'.
