Nina Arkhipova

Nina Arkhipova was born in Omsk, USSR. Her family moved to Moscow when she was a child. Her father, Nikolai Arkhipov Matveyevich, was a native of the Siberian city of Irkutsk and her mother, Maria Nikolaevna, was a native of St. Petersburg. Her mother was murdered with a gun, while she was 10 years old.

As a child, Nina Arkhipova loved to sing, dance, and play the piano. Living in Zamoskvorechye, she frequented the theater and began to think about the acting profession. She was accepted to many schools throughout Russia, including Moscow State University. She decided to attend the Shchukin Drama School at the Vakhtangov Theater. Her teacher was the famous T. L. Mansurov. She graduated in 1945 from the Shchukin Theatre School. From 1943 to 1951 she worked in the Theater. She has performed in 100 roles over the years, including the role as Elena Mikhailovna in Burnt by the Sun and Burnt by the Sun 2.
