Nikki Butterfield-Egyed (born 12 April 1982) is a former road cyclist and triathlete from Australia. She represented her nation at the 2007 and 2008 UCI Road World Championships.[1] She competed in triathlon before and after her cycling career, becoming Australian Junior Triathlon Champion in 2001, Under 23 World Triathlon Champion in 2003 and Australian Long Course Triathlon Champion in 2005 before switching to cycling in 2006.[2] She is married to Bermudan fellow racing cyclist and triathlete Tyler Butterfield.[3] She won the 2011 Ironman 70.3 Syracuse, five months after giving birth to the couple's daughter Savana[4] and went on the win the 2012 Abu Dhabi International Triathlon.[5] She made a second return to the sport in 2014, finishing third at the Ironman 70.3 Mandurah Australian Pro Championship less than 10 months after the birth of the couple's son Walker, but she subsequently announced her decision to retire from professional competition in January 2015.[6]
