Transport
Nidadavolu railway station is a railway junction in West Godavari district. A branch line goes to Tanuku from the Visakhapatnam-Vijayawada section of Howrah-Chennai main line. Recently it has been upgraded with computerized ticketing service and reservation facilities.[2][3][4] The Nidadavolu over bridge of length 700 mts was constructed between 1990 and 1992. Before the road and train networks were in place, transport was dependent on water. During that period Nidadavolu Wharf was a junction which provided mainline rail services to other parts of the country. After rapid development of road network, the prominence of water transport faded. Nidadavolu Wharf is located opposite to Tadepalligudem railway gate. APSRTC Tadepalligudem Depot operates bus services from Nidadavole to various places.
