Career

Chile

Peric began his professional career in his home team of Rangers. He then spent one year with U. de Concepción in 2004. In December 2004 Peric was suspended for six months by the CONMEBOL because he had tested positive for cocaine -he and team members would have drunk coca leaf tea before the game- against Bolívar in La Paz, Bolivia. In that very game Peric scored a goal.[1][2] Returning for the Clausura of 2005, Peric was set to play for U. de Concepción but refused to stating the financial state of the club as the reason. He was soon sold to Unión Española where he rarely got playing time, but the club was the defending champions.

His best moment of his career in Chile came with Audax Italiano where he has played in the Copa Libertadores and has finished runner-up and third place in the 2006 Clausura and the 2007 Apertura tournaments respectively. For the 2007 Copa America Peric received a call up the national team. On January 7, 2008, it was confirmed that, Chilean goalkeeper would play for Gençlerbirliği in Ankara, Turkey.[3]

Turkey

Peric joined the Turkish club in January 2008. As the season winded down the team was able to ultimately avoid relegation from the Turkcell Super League. That same year the club reached the final of the Fortis Turkey Cup losing to Kayseri based Kayserispor on penalty kicks.[4]

On December the 2nd, 2008, Peric and the club parted ways, apparently due to his recent injury troubles and lack of first team football.[5]

Argentina

Peric was signed by new Argentinos Juniors manager Claudio Borghi in 2009. He played occasionally in the Apertura 2009 tournament but established himself as the first choice goalkeeper for the Clausura 2010 championship playing in 16 of the club's 19 games during their championship winning campaign. He missed the final game due to an injury sustained in the 4-3 victory against Independiente in the penultimate round of fixtures.
