Trinidadian rapper and singer Nicki Minaj has released three studio albums, three compilation albums, three mixtapes, seventy-one singles (including forty-six as a featured artist), twelve promotional singles and eighty-two music videos.

After becoming involved with music and acting in high school in New York City, Minaj eventually picked up rapping.[1] She was discovered by American rapper Lil Wayne and signed to Young Money Entertainment—a subdivision of Cash Money Records with distribution through Republic Records—in 2009.[2] Minaj's first commercial success as a solo artist came with the release of her second single, "Your Love", which peaked at number 14 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and topped the Billboard Hot Rap Songs chart, an achievement that made Minaj the first female artist to top the chart unaccompanied since 2002.[3][4][5] Her next three singles, "Check It Out", "Right Thru Me" and "Moment 4 Life", all became top 40 hits on the Billboard Hot 100.[3] Minaj's debut studio album, Pink Friday, was released in November 2010, topping the US Billboard 200.[6] The album has since been certified platinum by both the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and the British Phonographic Industry (BPI).[7][8] The album's fifth single, "Super Bass", peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 and reached the top ten in multiple other countries, including Australia, Canada and the UK.[3][9][10][11]

Minaj released her second studio album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, in April 2012. It topped the Billboard 200 and was certified platinum by the RIAA.[6][7] Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded also entered the UK Albums Chart at number one, making Minaj the highest-charting female rapper in the chart's history.[12] The album's lead single, "Starships", peaked at number five on the Billboard Hot 100 and became a top ten hit in multiple other countries.[3] "Pound the Alarm" peaked at number 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 and also became an international top ten hit, while "Va Va Voom" became an international top 40 hit.[3] An expanded version of Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded subtitled, The Re-Up, was released in November 2012.[13] Minaj released her third studio album, The Pinkprint, in December 2014 and it debuted at number two on the Billboard 200.[6] The album's second single, "Anaconda", peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 and is her highest charting single in the United States to date.[3]

Since 2010, Minaj has accumulated over 60 chart entries on the Billboard Hot 100, giving her the most entries among female rappers and the third most entries among female artists.[14] Additionally, she has earned eleven top ten hits in her career, also giving her the most among female rappers.[15] As of March 2015, Minaj has sold 3.4 million albums and 29.8 million digital songs (as a lead artist) in the United States.[16]
