Nick Friedman

Nick Friedman, born in 1981, is an American entrepreneur best known for co-founding College Hunks Hauling Junk and College Hunks Moving with lifelong friend and business partner Omar Soliman.[1] He is also a published author, having co-written the how-to book for aspiring entrepreneurs titled "Effortless Entrepreneur, Work Smart, Play Hard, Make Millions" with Soliman.[2] In addition, Friedman is also a TV personality who has appeared on multiple TV shows (see Television section), public speaker,[3][4] and also co-executive producer of the documentary, "Beware of Mr. Baker."[5]

Early life

Nick Friedman grew up in the Washington, D.C. Area and attended the Sidwell Friends School, a K-12 program with many notable alumni.[6] Following graduation in 2000, he attended Pomona College in California where he played basketball for four years.[7]

Business career

Following college graduation, Friedman worked briefly as an economic research analyst for Marsh and McLennan Companies, Inc.[8] After a few months, he decided to quit and instead pursue entrepreneurship and ramp up operations with the business he and friend/business partner Omar Soliman founded while in college, College Hunks Hauling Junk.[8]

Organizations

Nick Friedman is an active board member of the Entrepreneur's Organization (EO), as well as a founding member of the Young Entrepreneur Council.[9] He is also a contributing writer on the Huffington Post Blog.[10]

Television

Friedman has been featured or appeared on the following television programs: ABC's Shark Tank,[11] Bravo's Millionaire Matchmaker,[12] The Nate Berkus Show,[13] FOX Business News,[14] The Dylan Ratigan Show[15] and House Hunters.

Film

Friedman co-executive produced the documentary, "Beware of Mr. Baker".[5]

Awards

Friedman has earned the following honors: Inc. Magazine 2008 Top 30 Entrepreneurs Under 30,[16] Under30CEO.com 30 Most Influential Under30CEOs of 2010,[17] and Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Regional Finalist 2011.[18]
