Nicholas Laurence Joseph Browne (born 24 March 1991 in Leytonstone) is an English cricketer active in 2013 who plays for Essex as a left-handed batsman who bowls leg breaks.[1]

He studied at Trinity Catholic High School, Woodford Green, and played, since childhood, for South Woodford C.C..

Making his first-class debut in May 2013 against Worcestershire, he scored 3 and took 0-59 in a rain effected draw.[2]

Browne scored his maiden first-class fifty in June 2014: in a County Championship game against Gloucestershire, he scored 65 in a partnership of 139 with fellow opener, Tom Westley. [3]

His maiden First-Class Hundred came the following week against Derbyshire. At the end of the second day's play, he was 86*, and he went on to three figures on the third morning at Chesterfield.
