Nguyễn Nhạc (, died 1793 ) was the founder of the Tây Sơn Dynasty, reigning from 1778 to 1793. During the years 1778 - 1788 he was proclaimed Emperor Thái Đức (泰德帝).

Since 1789, he was proclaimed the King of Tay Son. Nguyen Nhac and his brothers, namely Nguyễn Huệ and Nguyễn Lữ, known as the Tay Son Brothers, are the leaders of the Tay Son uprising that ended the long civil war between the two feudal groups, Trinh Lords in the Northern Vietnam and the Nguyễn Lords in the Southern Vietnam, seizing reigning power from these groups and the Lê Dynasty.[1]
