Ngawang Jigdral Rinpoche, (b. 1982 [1]) known as Pemba Sherpa, is a Nyingma tulku and said to be the 3rd reincarnation of Gomchen Rinpoche (Sangay Yeshey).[1] He received the Vajra Master (Dorjee Lopon) enthronement by Taktse Rinzing Dorjee, the Nyingma Institute Founder and director after completing a 3 years and 3 months mediation course from 2012-2015. This was after completing 9 year (M.A.) course in Buddhist Philosophy in 2008.[2]

From an early age he joined Himalaya Sherpa Buddhist School in Nepal[1] where he learned basic Buddhist and secular studies. Later he joined Nyingma institute taktse,[1] Gangtok, Sikkim, India (Higher Buddhist Studies and Research Center) to pursue higher Buddhist studies.

He has studied reading transmission and teachings from various masters, notably: Penor Rinpoche, Taklung Tsetrul Rinpoche, Dalai Lama, Drodrupchen Rinpoche, Lachung Rinpoche, Thubden Palzang Rinpoche, Khenpo Pema Sherab, Khenpo Namdrol and especially tsawe lama Khenchen Rigzin Dorjee Rinpoche and Trulshik Rinpoche.

He is also the founder and Head Lama of Pema Namding Monastery,[3] which is located in Juving VDC. Ward No. 09, Kharikhola, Solukhumbu, Nepal. It has nearly 25 monks.

He preached and teaches in the USA and Europe, most parts of Sikkim (India) and many other places in Nepal.
