Newport Retail Park

Newport Retail and Leisure Park (known locally as Spytty Retail Park) is an out-of-town shopping centre in the city of Newport, South East Wales. It is located in the Lliswerry area of the city and is accessed via the Southern Distributor Road (which connects to junction 24 of the M4 motorway).

The retail park is large and is home to many shop units, car sales garages and restaurants. There is a Cineworld cinema and a Tesco Extra hypermarket.

Shop units

These include Thomson Holidays, ASDA Living, Boots, H&M, Claire's Accessories, River Island, Bank, JD Sports, Gap Outlet Peacocks, Clarks, Outfit, Tesco Extra, Thorntons, Iceland, Birthdays, Matalan, Marks & Spencer, Next, New Look, ScS Sofas, Sally's Hair & Beauty Supply, Carphone Warehouse, The 99p Shop, and Sports Direct.[1]

Outfit is home to lots of high street brands including Topshop, Dorothy Perkins, Evans, Miss Selfridge, Oasis and Wallis. There are many other franchises situated in the Tesco Extra hypermaket including Specsavers, o2, GM Music, Subway, Gregg's, Card Factory, St. Anne's Hospice, a jewellery shop and various market stalls. Many car dealerships can be found in the retail park.

Food Units

Theses include McDonald's, Harvester, Nandos, Pizza Hut, Pizza Express, Cafe Nero, & Costa Coffee.

Leisure park

The leisure park has a Cineworld cinema with five restaurants. The restaurants currently consist of McDonald's, Costa Coffee, Frankie & Benny's, Harvester and Pizza Hut with a nearby KFC. The Megabowl bowling alley was shut down. The owners that run it entered administration in 2006 and the future of the unit is unclear.
