New York Undercover is the soundtrack to the television series of the same name. It was released on September 19, 1995 through MCA Records and consisted mostly of contemporary R&B, with some hip hop. The soundtrack was a minor success, peaking at 73 on the Billboard 200 and 12 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, and spawned two singles "Dom Perignon" and "I Miss You (Come Back Home)".

Mary J. Blige's cover of Aretha Franklin's hit "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman" was later featured in the 2002 Al Pacino science fiction film Simone.[2]
