- The New England Division is formed as a result of AIHL creation
- The Boston Swamp Rats, Hartford Fire Ants, Long Island 495ers, and New Jersey Surge were added as charter members, joining from the PIHA
- The Massachusetts Mulissha and Suffolk Sharks were added as expansion teams

- The New York Terror were added as an expansion team
