New Antalya Stadium is a proposed multi-purpose stadium in Turkey. It is expected to be completed in 2014, and will be used mostly for football matches, hosting Antalyaspor Super League home games.[4] It will have a capacity of nearly 41,703 (all seated) and will be totally covered.
It is part of the planned expansion of the city towards the northeast. Five minutes from Antalya International Airport by tram and above the city, it will be the centre and main attraction of the new area and its surroundings. It will be easily accessible from the city centre.
It is designed in a unique and iconic way, resembling a Mediterranean sea shell. It will be a landmark of the Riviera coastline.
A football park will be developed next to it, as an education centre, a football academy for the Turkish Football Federation, and a training ground for international and European football teams during seasonal breaks.
