Nevill Holt Opera
Nevill Holt Opera is an arts festival at the end of June and beginning of July that is held at the home of Carphone Warehouse co-founder David Ross, Nevill Holt Hall in Leicestershire.
The annual event features a headline opera production as well as an open air exhibition of contemporary British sculpture featuring artists such as Marc Quinn, Allen Jones and Peter Randall-Page.
Having been host to Grange Park Opera since 2002, 2013 was the first year of independent production at Nevill Holt. Artistic Director Nicholas Chalmers led a team including Oliver Mears and Simon Lima Holdsworth (Second Movement Opera and NI Opera) in a production of Mozart's The Magic Flute.
