Nerella Venu Madhav (born 28 December 1932), popularly known as NV, is a famous mimic from India.[1][2] He rose to popularity imitating celebrities, politicians, local dialects, Nizams et cetera. He started a diploma course at Telugu University, a first in the world. He is often regarded as father of Indian Mimicry.

He was born in Warangal, Hyderabad state he was known as mimicry artist earlier only
Career
This great Mimic named Venu Madhav started his career in 1947 at the age of 16. He performs in Telugu, English, Urdu, Hindi and Tamil . He has toured all over the world and is the only mimic in the world who performed at the United Nations Organisation, New York.[3] His mimicry from the movie Ten Commandments is world famous.
Ventriloquist Mimicry Srinivos an international performer and one and only sound illusionist is a disciple of sri Nerella Venumadhav.Not only Mimicry Srinivos there are many disciples for our VENU MADHAV [NV][4]
He was nominated as a Member of Legislative Council of Andhra pradesh by the then Chief Minister P. V. Narasimha Rao in 1971. His disciples celebrate his birthday i.e., 28 December as world mimicry day for the past 12 years.
Other Honours
An auditorium has been constructed by the government at Hanamkonda Public gardens and was named it in his Honour as Padmasri Dr. Nerella Venu madhav Kalaa Pranganam.
On the occasion of his 80th birthday, a mimicry festival was organized on 28 December 2011 at Padmasri Dr. Nerella Venumadhav Auditorium, Warangal.[5][6]
