Nemperor Records
Nemperor Records is an American jazz and pop record label, originally distributed by Atlantic Records from 1974[1] to 1977, and then CBS Records from 1978 onward, and is currently owned by Sony Music Entertainment. It was originally founded in 1966 by the manager Brian Epstein and Nat Weiss, as a management company called "Nemperor Artists Inc". In 1974, the company became a record label after releasing the Jerry Goodman and Jan Hammer album, Like Children.[2] Other notable artists who recorded for the label included bassist Stanley Clarke and The Romantics.[3][4]
Nat Weiss (born Nathan M. Weiss) died on August 3, 2013, in New York, New York, United States.[5]
