Nemanja Aleksandrov (Serbian Cyrillic: Немања Александров, born April 10, 1987 in Belgrade, Yugoslavia) is a Serbian professional basketball player for EWE Baskets Oldenburg of the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL). He also represented the Serbian national basketball team internationally. He is 2.10 m (6 ft 11 in) tall power forward, but can play and as small forward.
Professional career
In 2003 he was declared as young athlete of the year in Serbia and Montenegro.
Aleksandrov started his basketball career with FMP Belgrade and he stayed there until the summer of 2006. He then transferred to Crvena Zvezda where he stayed for 3 seasons, before leaving in the summer of 2009. He signed with Union Olimpija the summer of 2009.
After just a year in Slovenia he left Union because of unpaid salary,[1] so he signed one-year contract with option to extend with the Italian team Scavolini Pesaro.[2] He spent whole 2011/12 season working individually with Nenad Trajkovic
On August 12, 2012, Aleksandrov signed for the Belgian team Verviers-Pepinster.[3][4] In March 2013, Aleksandrov signed with Bàsquet Manresa.[5]
In July 2013 the EWE Baskets Oldenburg announced that they signed the Forward for two years.[6]
