Nelson Asofa-Solomona (born 29 February 1996) is a New Zealand professional rugby league footballer who currently plays for the Melbourne Storm of the National Rugby League. He primarily plays second-row and prop.

Background

Born in Wellington, New Zealand, Asofa-Solomona played his junior football for Wellington College's rugby union team and the Upper Hutt Tigers, before being signed by the Melbourne Storm.

Playing career

In 2014, Asofa-Solomona played for the Melbourne Storm's NYC team.[1]

On 2 September 2014, Asofa-Solomona was named at second-row in the 2014 NYC Team of the Year.[2]

On 18 October 2014, Asofa-Solomona played for the Junior Kiwis.[3]

In 2015, Asofa-Solomona moved on to the Storm's Queensland Cup team, Sunshine Coast Falcons.[4]

In Round 8 of the 2015 NRL season, Asofa-Solomona made his NRL debut for the Storm against the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles.[5]
