Neha Kakkar is an Indian playback-singer.[2] She competed on the television reality show Indian Idol season 2 in 2006. In 2008, she launched the album Neha The Rock Star with music composed by Meet Brothers.[3] Since then she has been playback singer for few Bollywood numbers. In February 2012, she recorded a song about Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan (SRK), which became a hit on YouTube. The song later on became popular as "SRK Anthem".[4] She also came up with a single "Hanju" along with singer Meiyang Chang.[5]

She is brought up in Delhi and is sister of singer Sonu Kakkar.[2] She was a student of class 11 at New Holy Public School, Delhi when she participated in Indian Idol.[1]
