Career

Chandra made his debut as a hero in Agarathi, a Tamil movie which did not receive a huge reception. In 2012, he entered the Telugu industry through the movie Andala Rakshasi which garnered him huge response from the viewers and professionals for his performance and won rave reviews for enacting a passionate lover Surya in the film.[3]

In the bilingual films Dalam and Koottam, Naveen played an ex-naxalite who struggles to return to lead a normal life. The Telugu version released in 2013, while the Tamil version will release in early 2014. For his role in Sathyashiva's Sivappu, he lived incognito as a labourer in his friend's construction company for two weeks in order to get into his character. The film will also release in 2014, as would a third film Therodum Veedhiyile, which he had shot for in 2012.[4] He was also signed as the second lead in the Tamil film Brahman, which will become his first acclaimed release in Tamil, since his first movie was not a commercially successful film that did no justice for his acting abilities. He has also signed on for the lead role in producer C. V. Kumar's Sarabam.[5]
