Navalpreet Rangi, also known as Narinderpal Singh Rangi, is a Punjabi Documentary film Maker, Film Producer and Art Photographer.
Early life
Navalpreet Rangi was born on 23 October 1983 to Darshan Singh Rangi (surname) and Baldev Kaur Rangi (surname) in Dhuri, Punjab and was brought up in Chommo, Punjab, India. He was schooled at the Karamsar School, in Gurdwara Karamsar Rara Sahib, Punjab.
Career
His debut book "Chiragan Di Low" was published on Eleventh standard at the budding age of 16. In Twelfth Standard he staged his first play "Kissa Ek Laash Ka" with IPTA Indian People's Theatre Association Punjab and learned Photography Techniques from Tejinder Artist at Khanna, Punjab.
Then he started his Graduation from DAV College, Chandigarh Sector 10, Chandigarh where he was an active member of Punjabi Sahit Sabha, Drama Club and Bhangra (dance) Team. He did Theatre with Punjabi Theatre persons like Bhaji Gursharan and Kewal Dhaliwal,
In 2004 he moved to Mumbai and as an Art Photographer with Prithvi Theatre.
In 2005 he worked as Assistant director for Punjabi Movie Des Hoyaa Pardes with Late. Manoj Punj.
In 2006 he joined Channel Punjab, Mohali as TV Program director.
In 2008 he worked as Creative director at Punjabi music channel "Yo Music" at New Delhi.
In 2009 he joined as Promo Head CNEB Hindi News Channel, Noida.
in 2010 he joined UNESCO with Madanjeet Singh UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador.
Navalpreet Rangi is founder of the Ma Boli International Punjabi Film Festival , Vancouver.
