Nativity of Our Lord Catholic School (NOOLCS', Nativity of Our Lord CS, or Nativity of Our Lord) is a Catholic elementary school in the Eringate-Centennial-West Deane neighbourhood of Etobicoke in the city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is administered by the Toronto Catholic District School Board.
Overview and history
Founded in 1962, the school is located close to the intersection of Renforth Drive and Rathburn Road. It is situated next door to the church of the same name. The school has 2 floors and 9 outdoor portable classrooms, which were removed for the addition in January 2012. The school has an optional Extended French Program that begins in Grade 5. It is a feeder school for Etobicoke's First Catholic Secondary School, Michael Power-St. Joseph High School, which moved to a former public high school nearby in 1993.
The school staff provides a range of co-curricular programs and activities: primary, junior, and intermediate soccer; junior and intermediate volleyball; softball; environmental club; cross country; student leadership committee; mass choir; school choir; Winter Carnival; French Café; basketball; track and field; junior and intermediate W5H; Yearbook Committee, Math Olympics; charity events; primary soccer house leagues; hockey team. The school provides a safe and welcoming environment based on school-based policies and procedures, such as a safe arrival program and regular re-enforcement of the behavior code. Also, the school works closely with other community agencies in matters of security and safety.
