The National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (usually referred to as Bahri) was established in 1979 and is one of the largest providers of maritime services in the Middle East. The company and its subsidiaries purchase, charter and operate vessels for the transportation of crude oil, chemicals and general cargo.[1] For this purpose, Bahri owns and operates a fleet of double hull very large crude carriers (VLCCs), chemical carriers and multipurpose Ro-Ro vessels. The company owns seventeen crude carriers, 23 chemical carriers and 4 roll-on roll-off ships.[2]
Ventures
Bahri holds a 30.3% stake in the Bermuda-based liquefied petroleum gas trading and ship-owning company, Petredec Limited.[3]
