National Library of Uzbekistan

The National Library of Uzbekistan is the legal deposit and copyright library for Uzbekistan.

It was founded 12 April 2002: there was also a State Library of the Republic of Uzbekistan, founded in 1870 as Tashkent Public Library, which in 1920 became the State Public Library of Uzbekistan, and became the legal deposit for Turkestan publications, and in 1947 was named after the Uzbek poet Alisher Navoi.
