Nannie de Villiers (born 05 January 1976 in Windhoek) is a former professional tennis player who represented South Africa. De Villiers was born in neighbouring Namibia but moved at a young age.
De Villiers made her début in 1993, at the small ITF Johannesburg tournament. She also played her next event in her native country, in Pretoria, winning the doubles event. Although she officially retired in 2003, she made a minor-comeback in 2007, entering the Cape Town event, losing in the first round singles and reaching the semi-finals doubles. She never surpassed the singles qualifying stages at a Grand Slam.
Despite never winning a WTA Tour singles title, she won four on the ITF tour, and 22 doubles titles there.

Began playing tennis at age 3 with her parents on their court at home...Coached by her father, Philip de Villiers...Has an all-court style of game; the serve is her best weapon...Given name is Esms, but goes by the nickname Nannie...Father, Philip, is a doctor who also coaches her and farms with ostriches; mother, Esm, is a housewife; older brother, Rocco, is an ostrich farm manager; has an older sister, Elke, and a younger sister, Igna...Whole family plays tennis...Graduated from high school in 1993...Likes to visit the family farm in Namibia as it's in the middle of nowhere, is beautiful and makes her realize how unimportant money and possessions are...Self-described as far too talkative but fun and always happy...Admires her parents for always knowing how to handle tough situations while loving each other with a love to be admired...Hobbies include playing the piano...Other sports interests are field hockey, javelin and swimming.
