The Nankai 8300 series (南海8300系) is an electric multiple unit (EMU) commuter train type on order by the private railway operator Nankai Electric Railway in Japan for entry into service from autumn 2015.[1]
Operations
The 8000 series is scheduled to be used on Nankai Main Line, Nankai Wakayamakō Line, and Nankai Airport Line commuter services.
Formation
The fleet will consist of five 4-car sets.[1]
Interior
Passenger accommodation will consist of longitudinal seating with LED lighting used throughout.[1]
History
Details of the new trains were first announced officially by Nankai Electric Railway on 25 March 2015.
