Nancy Newman
'Nancy Newman is an anchor and reporter on the YES Network.
Newman began her career at Channel 10 in Toronto, Canada. Soon after, she worked for TSN, Canada's National Sports Network as a reporter for Sportsdesk, including hosting horse racing and motorsport programs. Her reporting garnered a Sovereign Award in 1991 for the "World of Horse Racing" program. In 1992, she was chosen out of hundreds of candidates to replace Hannah Storm at CNN Sports and CNNSI headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia USA. For the next 11 years, Newman worked for a variety of Turner/CNN Networks and her duties ranged from hosting the Atlanta Thrashers Hockey telecasts to the Goodwill Games held in St. Petersburg. She was a host for CNN Sports Tonight and Latenight. In 2003, Newman joined YES Network. She is a host/anchor for the New York Yankees Pre-Game Show and the New York Yankees Post-Game Show for New York Yankees telecasts, as well as the pregame and postgame shows for the Brooklyn Nets. She is also the host of Yankees Magazine, the official magazine show of the New York Yankees. In addition, Newman was a Reporter for NBC at the 2004 Olympics Games in Athens, Greece.[1] Newman holds a bachelor of arts degree in English from the University of Toronto.
