Nagy Aguilera De La Rosa (born May 28, 1986) is a Dominican professional boxer in the Heavyweight division. He is a durable journeyman but also holds a win over former WBC Heavyweight Champion Oleg Maskaev.

Although he is from the commonwealth island of Dominica, his application was confused when inducted into the boxing world with the Dominican Republic. For his explosive technique and various knockouts, Aguilera received the name the Dominican Dynamite. Popularity rose after a few matches and the colors of the Dominica's flag stuck. [1]

Professional career

2009

Nagy Aguilera gained notoriety when he knocked out in 2009 the former WBC Heavyweight Champion Oleg Maskaev in the first round on December 11, 2009 in what was considered a major upset.[2] Since then, Aguilera has been considered a journeyman fighter brought in to fight more recognized opponents.

2010

He has also previously fought (and lost) to former WBC Heavyweight Champion Samuel Peter[3] and former World Light Heavyweight Champion Antonio Tarver.[4]

2011

On May 14, 2011 Aguilera lost by K.O. to Mexican-American Chris Arreola,[5] this bout was televised on Showtime's Andre Ward vs. Arthur Abraham undercard.[6]

2012

On March 2012 he lost to Tomasz Adamek by unanimous decision: 99-91, 100-90 y 100-90.[7][8]
