Nagaraja Cholan MA, MLA is a 2013 Tamil film directed by Manivannan. It is a sequel to Amaithi Padai (1994) which was considered as the greatest political movie in Tamil Cinema. The film stars Sathyaraj in lead role thus making it as his 200th film and Seeman will play the other leads along with Mrudala, Komal Sharma and Varsha. Manivannan and his son Raghu Manivannan have also important roles.[1] James Vasanthan will be the music director of the film which will be shot in Coimbatore and surrounding areas in one single schedule. S. Ravichandran and K. Suresh are producing the movie under the banner of V House Production.[2] Unlike the original, this film opened to mostly mixed reviews[3] The film was Manivannan's 50th and last film as director and was also the last film he acted in as he died a month after the film's release.
