Na Fianna are a contempary Irish band, with members Ciaran Finn, Hugh Finn, Peter Mc Mahon and James O'Connor. They are the successors of the previous Na Fianna runners-up of second series of RTÉ reality talent show The All Ireland Talent Show in 2009–2010, coming second to Chloe Coyle.

The band has evolved through the years and now comprises brothers Ciaran and Hugh Finn, James O’ Connor and Peter McMahon. These young men continue to transcend generational barriers with their unique interpretation of Ireland’s rich heritage through storytelling and song. They are professional, hardworking, highly skilled musicians who stay true to themselves and their heritage. Loyalty to tradition and each other is their forte. This ethos, combined with their exceptional capacity to entertain, has been the catalyst for the continued rise of Na Fianna.

“Truth in our hearts, strength in our hands, and fulfilment in our tongues” - Na Fianna. .

History

The All Ireland Talent Show

Na Fianna have been playing together since March 2007 and are continuously building on their reputation as great entertaining balladeers. The lads are all highly skilled musicians and powerful singers too. Over the past four years they have travelled and played in many noted venues all over Ireland as they embrace the songs and stories of the past whilst succeeding in making each one their own.

They have toured in The UK, France, the Netherlands and Belgium. They are now under the management of Darren Farrell and have recently signed a recording contract with Trad Nua. They have further tours planned of Germany and The USA in the summer of 2011.

In 2009, Na Fianna entered the All Ireland Talent Show to rapturous applause. With an average viewing audience of 700,000 people and four live performances on National Television, Na Fianna finished in 2nd Place out of over 6,000 competitors.

This catapulted them onto both a national and international platform, further increasing their ambition for continued achievement.

Since then...

They recorded a live Album and live DVD which is available online from their website. They signed to a new record company Trad Nua . Na Fianna have currently finished recording for their new album recorded in Cauldron Studios with Bill Shanley which will be released with Trad Nua this April 2015.

Na Fianna are full-time musicians and hope to extend their global audience. They have also had the pleasure of writing songs with Don Mescall in Britannia Row Studios.
