NOWPDP
NOWPDP (Network of Organizations Working for People with Disabilities, Pakistan) is the initiative of Aga Khan Council for Pakistan that was launched during the Golden Jubilee year. It works for the facilitation of persons with disabilities and brings together disability organisations to create an inclusive society.[1][2] Leading philanthropist, Amin Hashwani serves as its President,[3] while Omair Ahmad is the Executive Officer of NOWPDP.[4]
Major Projects

This project empowers people with disabilities through the promotion of their craftsmanship , thereby making them valued members of society. This project helps people with disabilities to learn two major skill set including handmade recycled paper-making and patchwork.[5]
Rickshaw Project
For advocacy and to generate employment opportunities amongst people with disabilities, NOWPDP has established a user-friendly, rickshaw-to-your-doorstep called as The Rickshaw Project, which is run entirely by PWDs.[6] Customers can book the rickshaw online or can call the customer services centre to place an order, and a rickshaw will pick them up from their desired location. Not only the rickshaws are driven by trained PWDs, but it also follows a standardized billing system.
