NASCAR '14 is a NASCAR video game. It is the third edition of the NASCAR The Game racing simulator series, and is the sequel to NASCAR The Game: Inside Line. Developed by Eutechnyx and published by Deep Silver, the game was released on February 18, 2014, for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
Cover vote
For the second straight year, Eutechnyx held a "drive for the cover" campaign, allowing fans to vote for the NASCAR driver they would like to see on the cover of NASCAR '14. On December 10, 2013, it was announced that Tony Stewart was chosen as the game's cover driver, succeeding Dale Earnhardt, Jr.
New features
New features for the game will include online leagues, a server browser, DNFs, enhanced AI difficulty, the option to hire staff in career mode, and new car physics.
Driver rosters and paint schemes for the 2014 season will also be updated, with DLC being released on a monthly basis. The game also features all 23 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series tracks.
DMI Motorsports takeover
It was confirmed Eutechnyx will no longer make NASCAR games after their license was taken over by DMI Motorsports. NASCAR '16 will be released in late 2016. ETX Racing and Eutechnyx will continue to support NASCAR '14 along with a massive spring update, which would include major bug fixes, reduced lag, new and changed NASCAR drivers, and the NASCAR '15 update to NASCAR '14.
Drivers featured
In addition to Series regulars, several Nationwide Series and Camping World Truck Series drivers were featured as field fillers upon the game's release. Additional Sprint Cup drivers were added in a patch.
- Trevor Bayne - Bayne's #6 Nationwide Series car was featured during the game's release, later replaced by his #21 Wood Brothers Racing car.
- Regan Smith
- Chase Elliott - Initially driving a generic JR Motorsports Chevrolet, an update added Elliott's NAPA Nationwide Series scheme
- Paulie Harraka - Harraka is featured in a fictional #12 Intake Network Ford
- Ryan Reed
- Darrell Wallace, Jr.
- David Reutimann & Travis Kvapil - BK Racing's 2013 cars were initially featured, later replaced by their 2014 counterparts
Soundtrack
The game features 12 songs - 2 songs by Rivers Monroe, 2 from Shovelhook, 5 from singer Christian O'Connor, and also from Sky Adams with Jordan Crisp, The Howling Tongues, and the Devyl Nellys.

Jeremy Peeples of Hardcore Gamer gave the game a 3.5/5, saying "There’s a lot of fun to be had in the career mode tinkering with settings and getting things just right for a race, while the core racing action is quite exciting in any mode."[1]
Meanwhile, much of the community behind the game is very upset with many wanting to have a full Xfinity Series, and Camping World Truck Series roster to go with the full Sprint Cup Series roster. Also, many die-hard league racers don't enjoy the fact that they cannot race full 16 car lobby's without extreme lag, and, "lag bubbles" effecting the race. Other complaints is that the game is pretty much identical from NASCAR The Game: Inside Line, with a few, minor additions.
