Myrath, formerly known as X-Tazy, is a progressive metal band from Tunisia formed in 2001.

Biography

Myrath (ميراث, meaning legacy), a metal band from Tunis, Tunisia, started out as a teenage cover band formed in 2001 by guitarist Malek Ben Arbia (who was 13 years old at the time). [1] Over the next few years the band would develop their style towards progressive metal. Myrath have now performed at a couple of festivals as well. The band have given their music the label of "Oriental Metal".

Their first album Hope was released in September 2007, and their second, Desert Call, in January 2010. Myrath filmed their first music video for the song Merciless Times from their third release Tales of the Sands.

Myrath has performed live at festivals including Metal Rock Fest in Lillehammer, Progpower Europe 2010 in the Netherlands, Metal Ride Festival in France, and ProgPower USA XIV in Atlanta. [2]
