My Beloved is the second studio album by English Nasheed singer Ahmad Hussain, released on 19 June 2014 by IQRA Promotions.

Composition and release

Ahmad Hussain dedicated My Beloved to his mother after she was diagnosed with cancer early in 2013. The album consists of 13 nasheeds that were recorded in Urdu, Arabic and English. The production of the album involved many producers and musicians from around the world[1] and from continents such as Asia, Africa and Europe,[2] performing classical instruments such as the santoor, kemenche and oud, which has created a blend and fusion of modern and traditional instruments. Hussain wrote many of the songs on the album.[1]

The album was released by IQRA Promotions on 19 June 2014.[3][4] The video of the title song "Beloved" was shot in the Gary Barlow's manor home in Cheshire. The video of "Ya Taiba" was shot in the Merzouga desert situated near the Moroccan and Algerian border. It is a traditional Arabic song that also portrays a caravan travelling on a pilgrimage to Medina in Saudi Arabia.[1] A third video was released entitled "Muhammad (PBUH)" which was shot in New York.[2]
