MyRepublic Private Limited, is an internet service provider in Singapore and New Zealand. It is the fourth broadband service provider in Singapore.
MyRepublic is founded in 2011 by Malcolm Rodrigues who was a former Vice President of StarHub International and Wholesale, together with KC Lai who was also a former StarHub's Senior VP of Consumer Sales and Gregg Mittman who was tasked to lead Alcatel-Lucent's NBN Team.[1]
According to International Data Corporation (IDC) as of October 2014, MyRepublic has less than 2% of the total market share, as compared to Singtel (41%), StarHub (32%) and M1 Limited (8%).[2]
On 12 October 2014, MyRepublic launched its free 3-month fibre broadband trial in New Zealand.[3]
Services
Internet services
In 2011, MyRepublic launched its fibre broadband 100Mbps no-frills plan in Singapore.
In 2014, MyRepublic launched its services in the New Zealand market, making effort to provide fibre services of at least 100Mbps to the residential and business sector with no data limits.[4]
As of 2015, MyRepublic offers internet speeds of 200Mps - 1Gbps to residential customers and 100 Mbps - 1Gbps to corporate customers[5] in Singapore.
Teleport
MyRepublic introduced its 'Teleport' add-on service that allows subscribers to directly connect to video streaming websites such as Netflix and Hulu, which were unaccessible due to geographic restrictions. However, it would only provide connection to sites which are approved by the Media Development Authority.[6]

2014
- MyRepublic launched its free 3-month fibre broadband trial in New Zealand[7]
- MyRepublic announced its intention to expand into New Zealand by second half of 2014[8]
- MyRepublic raised $24 million in funding from Sunshine Network and $10 million from French billionaire Xavier Niel [9]
- On 16 January 2014, MyRepublic announced MyGigNation, an initiative to attract and entice local independent developers to create, build and test Gigabit-level applications.[10]
- MyRepublic launches its 1Gbps broadband services starting from S$49.99 per month (US$39) making Singapore the first country to offer 1Gbps with prices that are amongst the most affordable in the world.[11]
2013
- MyRepublic introduced three competitively priced enterprise plans to attract Singapore's Small and medium-sized enterprise (SMEs).[12]
- MyRepublic has also teamed with Google Apps, Mako Networks, and Singapore-based OSINet to bundle additional services into its business products.[13]
- On 28 February 2014, MyRepublic announced its new 'Teleport' Service which allows its consumers to connect to International TV channels and online media content with ease.[14]
2012
- In the month of February, StarHub enters into a dispute with MyRepublic, after MyRepublic claimed that StarHub is discouraging its consumers to move to the Next-Gen NBN.[15]
