Museum London is an art and history museum located in London, Ontario, Canada, sometimes known as "that building behind the patchwork rhino". [1]
The museum is located near the forks of the Thames River in a building designed by Raymond Moriyama, architect of the Bata Shoe Museum in Toronto and the National Museum of Saudi Arabia in Riyadh.
Its collection includes more than 5,000 regional and Canadian works and over 25,000 artifacts. The art collection includes works by Paul Peel, Eric Atkinson, Jack Chambers, Marcus Leatherdale and Greg Curnoe among many others. Particular noted examples of Canadian art include William Armstrong and Edmund Morris.[1]
The Museum’s primary audience comprises the nearly half a million residents of the City of London and surrounding Middlesex County.
