Murun Altankhuyag (Mongolian: Алтанхуягийн Мөрөн, Altankhuyagiin Mörön;[2] born 21 September 1989) is a Mongolian international footballer who plays professionally in Serbia for Mačva Šabac as a striker.[3]

Club career

Born in Ulan Bator, Murun played college soccer for Hannibal-LaGrange University Trojans and the Central Methodist Eagles.[4]

He signed a two-year contract with Thai club Krabi in December 2013, becoming Mongolia's first ever professional footballer.[5] He moved on loan to Satun United in June 2014.[6]

He signed for Serbian First League club Mačva Šabac in March 2015,[7] becoming the first Mongolian professional football player in Europe.[8]

International career

He made his international debut for Mongolia in 2007,[1] and has appeared in FIFA World Cup qualifying matches.[9]
