Muriyadi is an upcoming Tamil thriller film directed by Selva featuring Sathyaraj, Ganesh Venkatraman and Remya Nambeeshan in the lead roles. The film, produced by K. Balachander's Kavithalayaa Productions, is currently in its production stage and slated for a theatrical release in 2013 .[1]
Production
It is a remake of the 2009 Malayalam sleeper hit Passenger by Ranjit Shankar and stars Sathyaraj, Ganesh Venkatraman and Remya Nambeeshan in lead roles, playing the roles originally performed by Sreenivasan, Dileep and Mamta Mohandas, respectively.[2] During an interview with the Times of India, director Selva suggested that a promotional video was set to be shot in Dubai, but the venture failed to materialize.[3]
However despite completing all post-production works by October 2010, the film's release was delayed due to problems encountered by the producers, Kavithalayaa Productions, whose previous production Selvan's Krishnaleelai was also indefinitely delayed.
